UK petrol prices fall below £1

Petrol prices are known for their unpredictability. One day they’re extremely high and the next day they’re lower than ever before. It’s human nature for people to want the best deal’s possible therefore it’s understandable why people would get excited about lower petrol prices.

People often complain about the steep prices that haunt the petrol industry however they are often met with criticism from those who firmly believe that those prices can be justified.

If you believe that UK petrol prices are too high, we have some good news for you.

Morrisons, the well-known supermarket, has just announced that it would be selling petrol at 99.9p per litre. That’s right, UK petrol prices have fallen to below £1, which is great news for all the car owners out there.

Currently, Morrisons is the only supermarket to offer such low prices, others are beginning to follow in its steps, with Asda announcing it would be running a weekend promotion.

Although drivers will be able to experience low petrol prices in the weeks leading up to Christmas, the low prices are not expected to last due to the ever-changing global prices of oil.

All we can say is enjoy it while it lasts. It’s not often that we get to enjoy low petrol prices so when we do, we need to take advantage because we can’t be certain of when the low prices are going to make a return.

Let’s enjoy the fall in petrol prices this Christmas and hope that they remain this low for as long as possible.
