Great news for fans of Mazda – It has just been announced that the new limited-edition Mazda MX-5 Icon will appear at the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
If you’re a fan of cars, then you’re definitely familiar with the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It’s one of UK’s biggest automotive events, designed to cater for fans of speed and racing.
This year’s line-up is already shaping up to be one of the best ones yet, with more vehicles and guests getting announced before the event.
The new Mazda MX-5 Icon, is perhaps one of the most anticipated limited-edition vehicles on the year. It’s scheduled to go on sale this August, and it will make an appearance at Goodwood, giving fans the opportunity to see and experience the car in all its glory.
Based on the mid-range SE-L with the 1.5-litre petrol engine, capable of producing 129bhp, the car is truly one of a kind. It gets all the fantastic kit from the original on top of new features, that will likely appeal to many.
Appearance-wise, the vehicle is definitely appealing. Touches of red have been used throughout, to add contrast and make the styling pop. It’s bold, aggressive and extremely unique, so if you’re in the market for something slightly more upscale and aesthetically-pleasing, you’re definitely going to love the MX-5 Icon.
Scheduled to appear at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the car will stand alongside other Mazda gems, such as the MX-5 RF hardtop and the Spyder and Speedster concept cars.
