Hyundai Ioniq hybrid revealed

Hyundai Ioniq has finally been spotted undisguised and it looks fantastic. The four-door hybrid is set to be unveiled in Korea next month after which it will make its official debut at New York and Geneva in March.

The pictures, which were released online, show the Ioniq during a recent promotional video shoot, completely undisguised. For the first time since the vehicle was announced we are able to see exactly what it looks like. Although earlier spy shots, which showed camouflaged prototypes, gave us some ideas about the vehicle they weren’t too revealing and left us wanting more.

The Ioniq will be available with three different powertrain options including a hybrid, plug-in hybrid and full EV. It will take on the likes of the Toyota Prius and from what we’ve seen so far, it has the potential to do very well.

Ioniq has the familiar Hyundai look to it however it manages to look fresh at the same time.

Electric vehicles are currently experiencing a rise in popularity with more brand than ever producing their very own electric cars.

The Hyundai Ioniq is expected to go on sale in the UK in September 2016.

We are definitely looking forward to seeing the Ioniq in all its glory next year. It definitely has the potential to do well and it will be interesting to see what else Hyundai has in store for us.
